Go with this job but don't fall in to trap that your company ( or any company ) will create a career for you. I am close to business side of technology and i know that web developer have more options to diversify his/her career. You could get in to web analytics, digital marketing, content management platform.
Remember that Languages are becoming easier to master. What ever you do and learn, create a personal online platform to attract work and money.
