Forget what you know about how you performed in B.Tech or in your current/last organization. Make a plan to learn market relevant skills, do some home project, show case your skills and code on some online platform and become an active participant in some code sharing community. This transition might take some time ( a few months ), but will be worth it and you will rise up better than who just have some experience in a specific technology. I agree with Nitin Katyal that its not your work experience but your work, github is amazing platform if you have amazing skills.
